What is your opinion of relationships where there is a significant age difference between partners?

My opinion is this: There's nothing wrong with 2 humans falling in love with each other, provided their relationship is a true one, this means it is:

-Beneficial (no part loses more than it gains)
-Equal (no part has proportionally more rights than obligations, nor more obligations than rights, inside the relationship)
-Free (no part is in the relationship against his/her own will and volition)
-Loving (both parts sincerely feel fond of the other person)

Having said that, I must admit that society plays an important role in any relationship, it approves or disapproves the couple and gives peer pressure in favor or against the pairing. Which takes us to the main question.

If the difference in age is too broad it might not be an equal relationship, people who is too young compared to their partner lacks experience and maturity (physical and mental), this makes the young part have less rights or be in a bad position to make them effective, specially if the young one hasn't even reached legal age. Likewise people who is too old compared to their partner might find their opinions rejected or ignored for f
